Evolutionary algorithms and optimisation

Dr Marcus Gallagher’s research interests include AI and nature inspired problem solving techniques and algorithms.

More specifically, his work focusses on optimisation, metaheuristics and evolutionary computation, machine learning and exploratory data analysis and visualisation.

He uses statistical and probabilistic models and techniques to address these challenges.
