Visual sense making

Dr Mashuda Glencross’s research group aims to create visual mechanisms to understand large data sets from multiple sources, develop meaningful visuals, narratives and build literacy about the data.

Her research team focuses on visualisation, energy data, sense making, human-in-the-loop, virtual reality, simulation, visual analysis, and storytelling.

They use AI methods to narrow the scope of what data to visualise and to aid automatic creation of techniques and metaphors to experience the data.
