Professor Helen Huang researches advanced computer vision techniques to ensure AI can be used more effectively across a broad range of applications, with the potential for large-scale positive impact on our society. Yet most AI models trained in an experimental setting cannot make the transition to be used in real world scenarios. Dr Huang is seeking to bridge this gap by developing methods to accurately understand what we see as humans, and translate this data to enable AI agents to better interact with the real world and improve the intelligence of AI systems.
